Concept
NextTake is a digital media company that focuses on creating video content that is informative, engaging, casual and entertaining. Through the NextTake host as well as partnering with smaller, up-and-coming influencers, we will publish topical and informative videos on a regular basis wherein the take-away will be audience engagement and interaction. The industry that NextTake will be in is the Digital Video Marketing industry (in the most formal sense). This is an industry that is on the rise due to its flexibility, accessibility, amount of creators and brands trying to get involved. Video platforms also tie directly into social media – even blurring the lines between the two –resulting in a massive global audience.

Target Audience
The primary customer is an individual aged 16-29. Within this age group, students and young workers are the most typical users of the platform. People who use social media and browse the internet regularly would also take interest in the platform, and be regular, contributing users.
What Kind of Content Would Be Published?
The attitude of the content comes from a more casual and down to earth delivery – it is not meant to be academic and dry, rather a place to see how other people have experienced situations in an entertaining and engaging way. There is substance in the content but portrayed in a way where viewers can relate to and enjoy the content. The content is meant to inform the users on the given topic, while providing different perspectives of the topic – not a definitive single answer. The main source of content will be short, ~2-minute videos published every other day, with a 5-minute and a 10-minute video published bi-weekly on an alternating schedule. The topics are relevant to the viewer base in the sense that they cover social and professional aspects of everyday life. For example, a theme can be chosen for a series– let’s say first job. One output of this series would be a proprietary video. It is produced within the company, and outputted as one “take” on the topic. This information will be relayed through the Next Take host, or through a guest host. The community is then encourage to submit their own “Take”, and be feature in a bi-weekly video.
